The handle snapped and he fled with the bag which did not contain anything of value.                                           The next assault, on the 76-year-old, happened on Wargrave Road, Newton-le-Willows.                              Rob Haygarth, prosecuting, said: "She was walking on the same route she had used for 40 years to pay her rates in Earlestown.                          LED Flexible Strip Crystal Series: Crystal 3528     "He grabbed her handbag from her shoulder and spun her around. She screamed and he punched her to the right hand side of her ribs and she fell to the floor."                              Her screams alerted a 16-year-old boy and his girlfriend and they gave chase as McLoughlin, 24, fled with her bag, which contained [pounds sterling]25 and her back door key.                              They were unable to catch him but they recognised him as a local youth known as "Beefy" and by chance another teenager had seen him attack the

McLoughlin, of Meadow Close, St Helens, was recalled to prison after his arrest.                              Judge John Roberts told McLoughlin that the attacks would undoubtedly psychologically affected the women, whom he had targeted.                              Ian Mercer, defending, said that at the time McLoughlin had drug and debt problems and is genuinely sorry for his behaviour. They were not sophisticated robberies and no weapon had been used.
